I believe prop had a spreadsheet of how much damage you actually get from the damage bonuses on the 'best' armors, and it's very minor. Your money would be spent much better if you sold off your Nex armors for now, and got the tier 90 weapons instead, personally I use the Noxious Staff, Drygore Rapiers, and Ascension Crossbows. In clarification to why I use each: Ascension Crossbows - Dual Wield abilities come out to more damage for range, and more creatures are weak to bolts.

Drygore Rapier's reason was listed above in another post. Also as a sidenote: Nex armors are not the overall best armors in the game, the craftable Tectonic, Sirenic, and Malevolent are the highest damage bonus armors, but they degrade into nothing after 10 hours, they are boss only armors.
