What version of IE? Is this all computers or just some? Are they patched up with the latest and greatest MS patches? Check the file association in IE with the. Definately occuring on IE8, although my PC seems unaffected and opens the files fine.
No news if IE9 is doing the same thing. They are all connected to the WSUS so on paper they are patched, but I will double check if the ones that are causing problems have errors there. Within windows the file association is ok, so opening from a normal folder functions fine, just when they are downloaded from the web it is an issue.
