Tutorial where is my water




















Well I'm sure the folks that spent all that hard time and effort to create the tutorial will love to hear that response. Also kinda hard to skip the tutorial after it bugs out if you cant click on anything to get out of it. I had to force close the game. August Just installed the Mac version today it's finally available and got hung up on this very same bug. I can't believe it wasn't fixed in the past several months. September Yup, I see the original post was made in April but the bug still seems to be valid today with the Mac version.

My guess is that it's a UI problem where a layer has overlapped an action button to continue with the tutorial. I can get it to slowly flood at the beginning of the round however, it will only go down slowly during the second round and so on.

Is there a way to reset this entity to a point of origin every round? Idk - it was not a great first game experience. Either implement Droughts after the tutorial or be a part of the tutorial, but trigger them.

I got all my villagers erased before the tutorial ended. In my very first game I was just researching the lumber mill as a drought struck and killed all of my town, maybe there should be like an optional pregame tutorial that doesn't pose dangers such as droughts, and if you choose to skip the tutorial maybe just be thrown into the main game. What should a new player do in case of a drought you know, I haven't even had access to stairs or anything that I maybe could have used to build my way to the last bit of water left on the map, when the water returned everyone was dead.

Maybe make it so droughts don't happen so early or maybe not in tutorials, feels a bit unfair, and of course games should be challenging, but in this scenario there was nothing I could do, the water was gone and I was locked in my base with no stairs etc. Ofc you could also just warn players that this can happen and suggest to build more watertanks. Tell us that the direction matters.

I was unable to route path to my lumberjack flags as I had placed the entry against trees. In the tutorial, it tells you nothing about the droughts. My entire beaver population died. Took me quite some time to figure out that the first building flags you make have to point towards the path you then build back to the centre in order for the pathing to work; might be worth pointing that out in the tip.

I honestly thought the tutorial was too hand-holdey to begin with and considered turning it off. At some point you have to let the players figure things out for themselves. My opinion. And game indeed has some non-intuitive mechanics like power sharing. The tutorial should show optional recommended places where to build the usual buildings. During the tutorial a drought makes the tutorial horrific to complete as most of your colony will die; whilst you are still trying to learn to play the game and don't know how to stop it.
